Makeup Monday: Valentine's Day Look

Happy Makeup Monday!

So since Valentine's Day is this week, I thought I would create a makeup tutorial that is an easy and fresh look for that special day! Whether you have a special someone or you are going solo on a night out with friends, this look will make you feel beautiful and confident!

Using these products:

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation in 103 True Ivory
Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer in True Ivory
Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent
L'Oreal Paris True Match Blush in C1-2 Baby Blossom
CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner in 200 Black Onyx
Guerlain Maxi Lash Mascara
MAC Eye shadow in Charcoal Brown, Naked Lunch, Twinks and Vanilla
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 050 Berry Smoothie

I started off by using my Real Techniques Buffing Brush to blend in my Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation all over my face.

Next I used my Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer blending it under my eyes using my Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush.

Using my Real Techniques Powder Brush and my Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder I powdered my face to set my foundation.

I used my L'Oreal Paris True Match Blush to bring a sweet and soft pink color to my cheeks using my Real Techniques Blush Brush.

Next, I used my MAC 266 Angled Brow Brush with MAC Charcoal Brown Eye Shadow to fill in my eyebrows.

Using my MAC Eye Shadows: Naked Lunch (all over lid), Twinks (in crease and outer corner of lid) and Vanilla (brow bone), and my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and Accent Brush, I wanted to create a sparkly but elegant eye look.

Next, I used my CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner to line my lash line.

I used my Guerlain Maxi Lash Mascara (aka my favorite mascara EVER!!!)

And lastly I used my Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie to complete my look.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed this weeks Makeup Monday and I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day! Leave a comment below and let me know if you recreate this look! And remember to follow me on this blog, my Polyvore, Tumblr and Instagram!

Makeup Monday: MAC Eye Shadow Collection

Happy Makeup Monday!

So I have a confession, I am a MAC Eye Shadow Addict. And I need your help to figure out which eye shadow I should buy next. I've decided to post my eye shadows (I don't have many so that's why I need your advice) and tell you why I chose these ones and maybe from this post you can lead me toward a new color!

I'm really into neutral colors but I think I need to branch out and find new colors and looks to try out! So here are my MAC Eye Shadows!

Starting with the more "shimmery" colors:

Shale

I love this color because it's a soft purple which is really pretty to use in the crease or all over the lid.

Vanilla

I use this color on my brow bone and in my eyes inner corner to brighten my eyes.

 Naked Lunch

I love this eye shadow since it's easy to wear on an everyday basis because of its soft pink/champange color.

Woodwinked

This color is the first eye shadow I bought from MAC and it's awesome because when it's blended well onto your eye, it starts to turn into an auburn color making it look like there's two colors on your lid!

Twinks

I bought this eye shadow because I wanted a "Christmasy" color that was warm but elegant and this was the perfect match!

Now for the Matte colors:

Malt

I like to use this color when I'm going for a natural look, so I blend it into my crease because its a little darker than my skin tone but still creates depth.

Brulé

I use this shadow the most, all over my lid as a base for when I create a natural eye shadow look.

Charcoal Brown

I use this eye shadow everyday to fill in my eyebrows.

Quarry

I LOVE this color and use it everyday through my crease because it's light enough so it doesn't create a harsh look.

So that is all of my MAC eye shadows, and if you can think of any other MAC colors that I should add to my collection, then please comment below!

I hope you enjoyed this weeks Makeup Monday and let me know of any tutorials that you would like me to create for next week! Also remember to follow this blog, my Polyvore, Tumblr and Instagram!

I also just wanted to thank everyone who has either viewed my blog, followed my blog or commented on my blog. I've only had this page for a month now and the feedback has been overwhelming. I wasn't sure if people would even care about another beauty blog, but its amazing how many people from all over the world has viewed this page and supported it! So THANK YOU!!! xxx

Grammy's Fashion: Top 5 Looks

Happy Saturday!

Sorry I didn't post my usual Fashion Friday, but with my last semester of college in full swing, its hard to post things on days when I'm running around all over the place. But anyways, last Sunday was the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, and lets just say their were some interesting looks on the red carpet. But I managed to pick my Top 5 looks from both the red carpet and the performances.

So let's kick it off with my Top 5:

Miranda Lambert in Pamella Roland

Miranda has never looked better than she did on the Grammy's red carpet in this gorgeous Pamella Roland gown. It was simple but elegant and was a stand out best among the other interesting choices that were seen on the red carpet (because people go all out at these kind of events..)

Top 4:

Taylor Swift in Alberta Ferretti

I love Taylor and her style so much! She always comes out looking beautiful and graceful, especially in this dress she wore during her performance of All Too Well, which is my favorite song off her Red album. Unfortunately, viewers weren't able to see the full gown because she was seated during her performance, but I found this backstage photo of the full dress. Absolutely breathtaking!

Top 3:

Katy Perry in Valentino Haute Couture

When I saw Katy in this dress I was so excited! This dress was just shown at the Valentino Haute Couture runway show and I knew right when I saw it that Katy Perry would wear it. The dress's design is an actual score from an opera in which Valentino was inspired by, and only Katy could pull off such a stunning and fairytale-like gown.

Top 2:

Anna Kendrick in Azzaro

Though not nominated, this actress/singer still stunned in this beautiful Azzaro dress. Everything just blends beautifully; her hair, her accessories and makeup go perfectly together.

And lastly my Top 1:

Taylor Swift in Gucci

I can't say it enough, Taylor Swift just knows how to bring it on the red carpet. And this Gucci chain metal gown is just incredible in itself. I can't imagine how heavy this dress must have weighed but Taylor pulls it off gracefully. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

I hope you enjoyed this weeks Fashion Friday (on Saturday) and make sure to follow me on this blog, my Polyvore, Tumblr and Instagram.

Makeup Monday: My Real Techniques Collection

Happy Makeup Monday!

Now, if you are like me and are obsessed with makeup, you will understand the frustration that is finding the perfect makeup brushes at a reasonable price and good quality. Well, thanks to the fabulous Tanya Burr and her soon to be sister in law, Samantha Chapman, I have found my perfect brush(es) match!

I found these brushes at Walgreens (in the States) and could not believe the prices! They were so reasonable and the quality was amazing! I am in love with my Real Techniques brush collection so much that I refuse to buy any other types of brushes!

So for Makeup Monday, I've decided to share my Real Techniques brush collection and tell you about how I use them. Sorry they are a little dirty because I use them on a day to day basis so its hard to keep them in mint condition..

So lets start with all of my face brushes:

Expert Face Brush: $8.95 at Walgreens

This was the first brush I bought and it is one of my favorite ones because it is quite dense and blends well. I used this mainly for primer, because I have such red skin, it helps to blend the primer beautifully into my skin without any streaks. You can also use this for foundation.

Powder Brush: $8.83 at Walgreens

This is a brush that I used everyday and it's one of my must haves because its sets powder without it looking too powdery.

Blush Brush: $8.99 at Walgreens

This is another brush I use everyday and it sets the blush without it looking too harsh because of its light bristles.

Core Collection: $15.18 at Walgreens

The Core Collection comes with the Contour Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Detailer Brush and the Buffing Brush.

The Contour Brush is just like its called and is used to contour. I like this brush, but it is not one that I use everyday because I don't contour my skin, but when I do it works really well.

The Pointed Foundation Brush is normally used for liquid foundation, again I don't use this brush too often since I use other brushes for foundation, but again I do really like this brush.

The Detailer Brush is great for little spots that you need to cover up with concealer.

The Buffing Brush is my #1 brush of them all. I use this brush for my foundation because it blends and buffs it into my skin to make it look natural and flawless, which is something I need!

Now on to my eye brushes:

Shading Brush: $5.99 at Walgreens

This is a great brush if you want to go for a great smokey eye. I find, because of its dense bristles, it makes the eye pop more and with it you can create some beautiful looks.

Starter Set: $15.49 at Walgreens

The Starter Set comes with the Deluxe Crease Brush, Base Shadow Brush, Accent Brush, Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush and the Brow Brush.

The Deluxe Crease Brush is another one of my favorite and most used brushes. You can use it to blend eye shadow into your crease, but I use it for under my eyes for my concealer. I find that it is light enough to not pull on my skin but blends and wakes up my skin flawlessly.

The Base Shadow Brush is another brush I cannot live without. I used this everyday all over my lid and its fluffy enough that it makes blending colors easy and effortless.

The Accent Brush is what I use for my brow bone and under my eye if I put shadow there.

The Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush is perfect for gel eyeliner. It's extremely dense so it doesn't smudge eyeliner all over your eye.

The Brow Brush is great for filling in your eyebrow with eye shadow.

Overall, these brushes are incredible! I have nothing bad to say about them and everyone who I've talk to just obsesses over them. I haven't completed my collection yet, but I will someday!

I hope you enjoyed this weeks Makeup Monday! Leave a comment below to let me know if you want to see a tutorial or another "collection" of mine. Also, please go and follow this blog, my Polyvore, Tumblr and Instagram.

Have a great week and come back on Friday for a new Fashion Friday!
